Message from Eng Costar Takawira
“I truly believe that we are at our best when we combine our business strength with our desire to do good things in the world.”
In today’s world, engineering is enabling us to do incredible tasks at a pace faster than we have ever seen. As we provide full turnkey solutions as well as conventional projects to across Africa . I am proud to introduce Baldmin’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, which shows in so many ways how our focus on combining human and engineering services is helping people and our planet. As an example, over the last 3 years, our Baldmin Scholarship program has helped more than 10 students at 6 learning institutions in 4 countries to get education.
In 2016 /17 , we also made solid progress on our Corporate Social Responsibility especially in Shabani Mine. We are involved in Shabani Mine Athletics championship where we are sponsoring the whole activity 2 years in a role and also handing out Shabani mine football kits.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of our amazing people, who make all of this happen. We’ve challenged and empowered all of our employees to “connect everything, innovate everywhere, and benefit everyone,” and we are investing in the tools, skills, and resources to support them in that effort. Baldmin’s new Leadership Team is also more diverse in gender, ethnicity, age, and work experience than ever before, and one of the most diverse in the industry.
We enable people to reach their full potential in their academic studies. This starts with our commitment to ethical conduct and to the governance structures that ensure we walk the talk, which enable us to earn the trust of our stakeholders. We invest in the welfare and talents of our employees so they can flourish as engineering experts. Baldmin’s “Academic Scholarship Program,” which is focused educating underprivileged students and enabling them to make a meaningful difference in communities worldwide.

Strong governance and ethical conduct are essential to the success of our business, helping us build a sustainable, resilient business and gain the trust of our employees, customers, and stakeholders. Governance and ethics are routinely identified as areas of great focus, both to our internal business success and our external stakeholders—in engineering, projects management, procurement and parts manufacturing. We intend to sharpen our focus on these governance and ethics concerns as part of a larger effort to review our current CSR approach and develop a comprehensive long-term vision. This will include assessing our current CSR structure and identifying ways to better integrate processes and communication channels within our corporate governance structure. We are proud of our reputable standards for ethical conduct and believe it is important to continue our efforts to improve and build upon our strong foundation of good governance. The following section describes in detail how we have dealt with social activities
